Technical Services Associate for Dynamic Bio-Tech Company! (vallejo / benicia)

AcroMetrix, with facilities in Benicia, California and Alkmaar, The Netherlands, provides a comprehensive line of molecular and serological diagnostic quality control products that assist laboratories in meeting current government regulations regarding quality. AcroMetrix maintains this leadership role by consistently developing innovative standards, external run controls, and validation kits for molecular and serological testing in blood screening and clinical diagnostic laboratories.
The Technical Services Associate role is a cross-functional opportunity within the AcroMetrix Quality Systems organization. The Technical Services Associate will provide support for AcroMetrix products and services externally to customers, and internally to AcroMetrix personnel. The individual in this role will additionally be responsible for completion of Quality Control documentation to guarantee timely release of incoming raw materials and AcroMetrix finished products. Depending upon company needs, this individual will be required to perform viral nucleic acid extraction and PCR testing for product or raw material release or investigation of a customer inquiry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. .Receive, process and respond in a timely manner to incoming customer product and process inquiries and complaints.
2. Use Root Cause Analysis to investigate customer inquiries regarding AcroMetrix products.
3. Create and assist in the maintenance of Technical Services files and records using existing Client Relationship Management (CRM) software.
4. Provide feedback on inquiry trending and suggest/implement changes to AcroMetrix technical documentation, as required.
5. Maintain technical competency on molecular diagnostic assays, instrumentation and reagent systems, as well as on AcroMetrix products and services through training, scientific literature and use.
6. Analyze or verify data generated through AcroMetrix Quality Control testing processes.
7. Complete and ensure accuracy of Quality Control documentation.
8. Develop, analyze and maintain trend reports for AcroMetrix Quality Control and Technical Services department metrics.
9. Perform viral nucleic acid extractions and set up PCR reactions, as required.
10. Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related biological science required.
