Sr. Research Associate/Research Associate Assay Development & HTS

We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled and interactive Sr. Research Associate/Research Associate to join our Assay Development and HTS group. The successful candidate will participate in the development, optimization, and execution of cell-based assays for our small molecule high-throughput screening in stem cell reprogramming and/or differentiation. S/he will also be expected to develop and perform secondary assays for the characterization of hit compounds.
Required Qualifications:
BS or M.Sc. degree in Molecular, Cellular or Developmental Biology or related discipline
5+ years experience in an academic, biotech, or pharmaceutical laboratory
Experience in high throughput cell-based assay development and optimization, execution and post-assay data analysis
Extensive tissue culture experience, including working with mammalian and primary cell culture, generating and characterizing stably transfected mammalian cell lines, viral production and transduction, and immunocytochemistry
Passion and excitement for conducting both independent and collaborative groundbreaking research in a dynamic, innovative, multidisciplinary company setting
Excellent organizational, problem-solving and verbal/written communication skills
Flexible work schedule offered and required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with mouse or human ESCs or iPSCs.
Experience in molecular biology, including molecular cloning, DNA and RNA manipulation, PCR/qPCR, gene expression analysis
