Gentris Clinical Genetics, Inc. is a leading global provider of applied clinical pharmacogenomic services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Scientist I:
0 to 1 year of experience
Assesses daily activities of the lab and work prioritization as well as communication with study directors
Processes client samples using approved standard operating procedures
Performs routine and non-routine intermediate to high complexity pharmacogenomic assays in a GLP environment including DNA purification and quantitation, gel electrophoresis, real-time PCR, and Sequencing
Assists in the writing, editing, and implementing standard operating procedures, material requirements documents, and other essential documentation
Assists in validation and transitioning R&D assays into Laboratory Services
Maintains equipment logs, maintenance logs, and calibration logs
Makes common reagents and reviews reagent QC
Assists in laboratory inventory
Assists in initial and on-going training of scientists and other laboratory support personnel
Position Requirements: Bachelors degree with 0-1 years of experience in Life Science, Biology, Chemistry, or closely related fields is preferred. Knowledge of GLP preferred. Must be able to follow directions using SOPs, have good documentation skills, and be able to work independently as well as work well with a team.
