BioNovo is a pharmaceutical company focusing on discovery and development of drugs for cancer and womens health. BioNovo is looking for a Scientific Research Associate I to fill a vacancy in the Cancer Research Department. This position requires Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or biochemistry and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience either in biotechnology or in an academic lab.
The candidates should have previous experience in at least two of the following areas:
mammalian cell culture
molecular biology (isolation of nucleic acids, PCR, subcloning)
protein chemistry (protein isolation, PAGE, blotting)
flow cytometric analysis (FACS)
standard microplate-based assays and familiarity with plate readers
The position is best suited for an individual that is highly motivated with excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills. The abilities to work as part of a small team with other scientists, maintain well organized daily notebook, participate and present in the lab group meetings are highly desirable.
