Science/Marketing Writer/Editor (Carlsbad)

A global biotechnology tools company is looking for a seasoned marketing writer with a science background (preferably in cell biology, PCR, and/or sequencing) to work on multi-channel marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in web and email writing.
This is an on-site contract position in Carlsbad, with the potential for hire.
Duties:
Work closely with internal design team, account managers, and a large and diverse internal client base to produce print and electronic marketing materials
Write and edit content for collateral, direct mail, emails, web pages, etc., based on approved creative
Ensure adherence to voice and tone guidelines across all pieces
Provide additional writing/editing support as needed
Requirements:
Ability to understand and logically organize complex technical information
Experience working closely with internal clients in a marketing organization
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Exceptional customer service skills
BS in journalism, marketing, advertising, science, or related field and 5+ years of writing/editing experience
Science background (preferably in cell biology, PCR, and/or sequencing)
Technical writing experience a plus
