Research Technician- Stem Cell Biology (Boston/Longwood Medical Area)

PCMM at Childrens Hospital Boston, and Immune Disease Institute is one of the worlds foremost private biomedical research institutions. We have several openings for full time Research Technicians in the laboratory of Dr. Derrick Rossi.
We are seeking a full-time motivated research technician to be part of a research group studying stem cell biology. Successful candidates will help to establish differentiation conditions and identify factors required for the directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells) into differentiated cell types relevant to the development of autoimmune diabetes. Duties will include cell culture with a focus on pluripotent stem cells (maintenance and directed differentiation), routine molecular biology procedures (cloning, plasmid preps, PCR), FACS, and transplantation assays. A strong foundation in cell culture including differentiation; experience in basic laboratory techniques; good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to take specific direction and work independently as appropriate, within specific guidelines.
New Grads are encouraged to apply. A BS in Biology or Molecular Biology required.
