Research Technician (La Jolla)

Major job responsibilities include:
1. Handling of rodents for tissue harvest; T and dendritic cell isolations; cell staining for flow cytometry analysis (FACS) and sorting; immunohistology; tissue culture; ELISA and ELISPOT assays.
2. At times, the position requires helping with typing transgenic and knock-in mice by PCR and FACS; breeding and screening of the transgenic mice, and maintaining clear, accurate, and current records of the animals history (i.e., sex, birthdate, strain, parents, etc.).
Other responsibilities include ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies and reagents as needed, as well as overseeing repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
