Research Fellow Position in Stem Cell Biology
A research fellow position is available at the Massachusetts General Hospital in the area of stem cell biology and developmental biology of the skin. Focus of our research is to understand molecular mechanisms underlying formation of stem cells in skin development. We are seeking a candidate with a high level of research dedication and skill, who will participate in our research efforts and will be given the opportunity to learn and to work rather independently. Applicants must have strong collaborative skills and enjoy working in a team. The candidates should be capable of a thorough understanding of cell, molecular, and developmental biology, including hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, histological analysis, and molecular biology techniques (i.e. cloning, PCR, western blotting, Northern and in situ hybridization). Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical science, or related discipline with at least 3 years of laboratory experience is required. While not essential, prior experience with mouse transgenesis including transgenic and knockout mouse generation is highly desirable.
Applicants should send a cover letter, CV and 3 references to Masatake Osawa, Ph.D.
Please e-mail to masatake.osawa@cbrc2.mgh.harvard.edu. For further detail of our project, please go to http://www.cdb.riken.go.jp/scb/OsawaG.html.
The MGH/Harvard Cutaneous Biology Research Center is a committed Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Minorities, women, handicapped and veterans are encouraged to apply.
