Our Oncology Discovery Research Group is looking for a motivated and dynamic individual with the ability to design, develop, and execute assays for our small-molecule discovery programs in the field of cancer research. The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Be experienced in molecular and cell biology techniques such as Realtime PCR, Chromatin Immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting, cell-culture, and transfection techniques
* Analyze and interpret scientific data and suggest new directions
* Organize data and reports for presentations at project and department meetings
* Independently review current literature pertaining to relevant research programs and assay techniques.
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences plus at least 5 years practical experience. An understanding of epigenetic, gene transcription regulation and cell signaling is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently with the moderate supervision. Open communication, positive interpersonal and teamwork skills, and accurate maintenance of written reports are essential.
