Research Associate (Molecular Biology) (San Diego, Sorrento Valley, California)

Cosmo Bioscience has an immediate need for a full-time Research Associate II.
This position requires the ability to perform laboratory research tasks; a familiarity with standard concepts, practice and procedures in molecular biology; standard cloning techniques, DNA and RNA extraction; cDNA synthesis; PCR amplification; construction for plasmid maps and analysis of sequencing data using software similar to Vector NTI or DNAStar. Familiarity with quantitative PCR and tissue culture preferred.
The individual would work under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Research and Development, but should exhibit a high level of self-motivation and have good communication skills as well as a desire to be part of a dynamic research team. Must be a self-starter, independent with the ability to problem solve.
Credentials and Experience
May require 2-5 years experience in the field, college degree preferred.
