RESEARCH ASSOCIATE – SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Full-Time, temporary for 6 months
JOB DUTIES:
Participates in the development of molecular biology reaction chemistries, focusing particularly on mRNA amplification for microarray expression analysis.
Designs, performs, summarizes and communicates experimental results with minimal supervision.
Interacts effectively with engineers to facilitate development of microfluidic systems.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
BS in Molecular Biology or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum approximately 2 years of molecular biology laboratory experience.
Experience with nucleic acid biochemistry and enzyme reactions.
Experience with PCR and electrophoresis methods.
Experience with Excel.
SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED:
Scripting/programming.
Mechanical and electrical engineering.
Microfluidics experience.
