Research associate- Blood processing (san jose south)

We are a molecular diagnostics company that is developing a novel test which addresses an existing multi-billion dollar market. We are seeking a driven individual to assist in blood processing and DNA extraction. The individual would work with a highly qualified team in a fast paced environment that has a proven track record of success. The initial position would be paid hourly with the potential to become salaried in the near future. Please see below for responsibilities and requirements:
Responsibilities:
Full-time bench lab work
Blood handling and processing on a daily basis
DNA extraction and isolation, including scale up of these methods
Quantitative PCR analysis
Other DNA quantitation methods
Data analysis
Writing of SOPs
Able to work regularly on Saturdays
Qualifications/Requirements:
B.S. in molecular biology or related discipline
At least 2yrs of lab experience in a molecular biology lab
Must be comfortable handling human blood with sterile technique
Need to be proficient in quantitative PCR
Must be highly motivated, efficient, and have strong work ethic
Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping
