Research Assistant Cell Biologist (Sorrento Valley)

Sorrento Valley biotech start-up is looking for a mammalian cell culture specialist.
This is a temporary full time position for 2 months with a potential to become a regular full time position, which will be based on both available funding and work performance.
Job duties:
Generation of stable mammalian cell lines
Cell culture media preparation as directed
Cell counting using Hemacytometer
Basic molecular biology work including PCR, cloning, restriction digestion and gel electrophoresis
Protein purification
General lab maintenance
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in biological sciences with 2-5 years of hands-on lab experience
Strong mammalian cell culture experience
Hands-on experience in cell counting using Hemacytometer
Hands-on experience in molecular biology work
Experience in hollow fiber bioreactor culture and/or protein purification is a plus
Must be adept at problem solving and possess strong communication skills
Able to follow, execute and plan experiments to meet strict project time lines
Should be able to work in the US legally.
