BN ImmunoTherapeutics (BNIT) is a subsidiary of Bavarian-Nordic located in Mountain View, CA (http://www.bavarian-nordic.com/cancer_immunotherapy). (BNIT) is developing poxvirus vector based cancer vaccines and is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join its R&D group.
Requirements
A Bachelors degree in science with up to 5 years experience or a Masters in Science with up to 2 years of relevant laboratory experience, with industry experience preferred.
The qualified candidate will provide excellent experimental skills to characterize our poxvirus vectors based cancer vaccine candidates and focus on the method development, qualification, and validation of biological and functional assays needed to support both early and late phase product development
General molecular and cell biology skills
Multi-parameter FACS analysis
Expertise in cell-based functional assays
Strictly adhere to multiple standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Computer proficiency, especially in data analysis and presentation
Strong written and oral communication skills
Familiar with FACS and/or real-time PCR based assays, GLP/GMP concepts/environment
Hands-on experience in writing SOPs, methods development, qualification and validation protocols, reports and other documentation
