QC Associate

BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for San Diego’s Scientific community. We are currently looking for a QC Associate to work for a leading San Diego biotechnology company.

QC Associate

Works with a QC Development team to implement transfer and QC of DNA and RNA-based kit components. Performs QC Testing on different kit components. Works on documentation of testing protocols with the goal of supporting company’s movement towards implementing GMP. Responsible for upkeep of testing lab and maintenance of testing materials inventory. Organizes primer pairs, calibrants and IPCs.

Also helps support general manufacturing activities, materials management, and Quality program.

Minimum education and/or work experience requirements:

-U.S. citizen (government contracts requirement)

-A BS degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry

-At least 2 years experience in a lab setting

-Experience working in a clean room environment a plus

-Demonstrated experience working with nucleic acids (DNA, RNA)

-Demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard molecular biology techniques, especially PCR, RT-PCR and Q-PCR

-Analytical skills a must

-Ability to set priorities and meet strict deadlines
