System Biosciences (SBI), located in Mountain View, California, is an innovative biotechnology company specialized in developing novel and proprietary technologies and products for life science researchers. Development of novel tools for use in studying microRNA function and stem cell biology, respectively, is part of ongoing research efforts. We are looking for an experienced Ph.D. Scientist whose responsibilities include but not limit to: a) To lead development of new products and services based on lenti-viral technologies in the area of stem cell and/or small non-coding RNA; b) To conduct custom service projects; c) To participate in ongoing projects supported by a NIH SBIR grant to screen and identify small transcriptional activation RNA (i.e., RNAa); d) To provide technical support for select product lines, and e) To write and submit SBIR grant applications to the NIH;

Minimum Requirements: 1) Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology or Molecular Cell Biology with at least 1 year of post-doctoral training in life sciences; 2) Extensive hand-on experiences in constructing library in lenti-viral vectors, packaging and propagating lenti-viral particles, gene cloning, PCR, mammalian cell culture, stem cell culture, reporter cell line generation, cell-based assays, and FACS; 3) Previous experience in developing and commercializing life science research reagents would be a plus. and 4) Good writing and oral presentation skills;
