Molecular Biology Associate (RTP, NC)

Our client, a growing biotech firm in the RTP area, is actively recruiting for a very sharp, knowledgeable and capable Associate, for key role in the development of HIV and oncology drugs currently in Phase II trials.
The Associate would be responsible for isolating and amplifying nucleic acids using PCR methods and other molecular biology techniques as well as processing white blood cell collections to isolate monocytes, culturing these cells, and finally, producing the final drug product administered to subjects enrolled in our current Phase II clinical trials. Tasks will include performing manual cell culture and molecular biology operations, operating and cleaning equipment, completing batch records, performing environmental monitoring, and maintaining a clean room environment.
This is an excellent ground floor opportunity for a top student eager to break into drug development. Selected candidate will offer a Bachelors degree in related science as well as experience in cell culture and aseptic technique and PCR and other molecular biology techniques. Experience in a clean room environment and cGMP would be ideal. Team-oriented work style and dedicated commitment to mission also important.
