Agrivida was founded by MIT scientists and entrepreneurs. Our broad mission is to use biotechnology to provide sustainable, agricultural feedstocks to the fuel and chemical industries. We are engineering biomass resources to increase the efficiency of industrial processes, thereby replacing traditional fossil resources. The use of environmentally friendly biomass improves local economies, increases revenue from agriculture, improves national energy security, and helps fight global warming.

CURRENT HIRING

MOLECULAR BIOLOGIST

Outstanding candidates will have experience performing some or all of the following molecular biology techniques:

• polymerase chain reaction (PCR);

• Southern analysis;

• DNA purification;

• DNA restriction and ligation (gene cloning);

• gel electrophoresis; and

• Western analysis.

Applicants should have an M.S. in biology or a related field, three years experience (or B.S. and at least five years experience), and be able to work well in a team environment or independently. Demonstrated computer literacy and outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal skills are highly desirable.
