Lab technical assistant (MIT, Cambridge, MA)

LAB TECHNICAL ASSISTANT, MIT Biological Engineering (1 opening), to conduct specified research projects for 6-9 months in phage genetics, biophysics, and systems biology.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. or B.A. in science or engineering and a passion for conducting research.
- Should enjoy working in collaboration with other researchers, yet also possess strong independent research skills.
- Significant laboratory experience with basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, gel electrophoresis, restriction digests, cloning) is absolutely required.
- Experience or expertise with recombineering on bacteria, phage genetics and time-lapse fluorescence microscopy is a plus.
