Immediate opening for a Research Assistant - Molecular Biologist at a (Spring Valley)

This position will be an integral part of a team developing rapid molecular tests for infectious organisms
Job Description:
We are seeking an individual who works well under supervision to conduct assays using established procedures in Molecular Biology.
Essential Functions:
Prepare purified stocks of RNA and DNA from infectious organisms.
Manages laboratory supplies for the Molecular team.
Perform Real-time PCR assays on diverse samples
Help Develop new nucleic acid amplification techniques
Maintain accurate records
Interact well with other colleagues, collaborators.
Requirements
Formal training/Education:
BS degree in Molecular Biology or Life Science with 2-4years of industry experience.
Working knowledge of different RNA and DNA sample preparation techniques.
Experience with DNA-based enzymatic biochemistry including, but not limited to Real-time PCR, and hands on experience with multi-well, plate-based assays
Willingness to work in a Biological Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory and familiarity with blood borne pathogen protocols
