Job Title: Medical Biller Location: FHQ

Status: Part-time Non-Exempt Schedule: Wed-Fri; 08:30 – 16:30

Department: Billing Supervisor: Billing Office Manager

Summary:

This position initiates and coordinated the billing process from inception. This position has general billing and administrative duties.

The position will report to the Billing Supervisor and Billing Manager. It is a PT position with the potential for FT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Maintain & facilitate billing process

 Data entry of all client and insurance information

 Maintenance, coordination and verification of existing billing accounts and information

 Verification of patient demographics

 Identification and correction of Patient Care Report (PCR) discrepancies

 Compliance review of PCR/trip records and supporting data

 Interaction with Pre-Billing regarding informational discrepancies

 Client contact and interaction for billing resolutions

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent

• 3-5 years billing and insurance experience

• Working Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes

• Effective written, oral and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work with stringent deadlines

• Proficient Computer knowledge; MS Office, Outlook

• ZDS RescueNet experience

Stress Factors: Deadlines, Frequent time lines, interactions with PT’s etc.

Physical requirements: Sitting 8+ hours. General office work.

Working Environment: Office

Equipment Required: RescueNet, Excel, MS Word, Various office equipment.
