Cytogenetics Team Leader

The Cytogenetics department is seeking a Laboratory Services Team Leader position to join their blood group. This position will have hours from 8am – 5pm Sunday – Thursday.
Employee must have 7 years of Cytogenetic experience and be ASCP certified. The team lead will have responsibilities in the routine blood group, including but not limited to: availability as a resource for less experienced cytogenetics technologist; specimen tracking; analysis of unusual/difficult cases; processing review; and other tasks as needed. A familiarity with CAP and New York regulations is a plus.
The Cytogenetics department is housed in the Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology (CMBP). CMBP is celebrating 20 years of service in the RTP area, pioneering polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and standing as a leader in diagnostic genetics testing.
