Assay Development Scientist
Linkage Biosciences Inc is seeking an outstanding scientist to develop PCR-based assays for our proprietary and leading edge molecular diagnostics products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in human genetic assay development and a desire to be part of an exciting, growing company.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, optimize, and determine feasibility of new assays
Work independently and within project teams to design, perform, and analyze experimental studies
Work with software teams to develop and deliver user interface systems and bioinformatics tools
Collaborate to develop robust manufacturing processes and procedures
Develop and track project plans to meet milestones
Maintain detailed records and documentation
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or closely related field
3+ years, post Ph.D. experience in progressively more responsible MDx R&D positions
2+ years of commercial diagnostic, PCR-based assay R&D
Experience and broad knowledge of human molecular diagnostic assay technology and targets, including human SNP assays.
Successful project management experience
Detail oriented and self-motivated
Previous experience supervising others would be a plus
