Applications Scientist

Labcyte Inc. seeks an energetic scientist with extensive genomics expertise to help drive adoption of our products into new and existing markets.

Labcyte Inc. uses acoustic droplet ejection (ADE) and magnetic feedback control (MFC) to transfer a range of liquid classes and volumes for life science and pharmaceutical applications. Our ‘touchless’ ADE technology provides dramatically better results by eliminating pipette tips and the adsorption of compounds on their surfaces during transfer. Eliminating tips and wash waste also saves our customers hundreds of thousands of dollars in consumables and disposal costs. Superior accuracy is maintained from first drop through last for a wide variety of fluids, including many that are considered intractable by other techniques. Our Deerac™ instruments use MFC for non-contact liquid transfer in low volume assays. Our complementary ADE and MFC technologies make Labcyte a leader in miniaturizing biological assays. The award-winning Echo and Deerac liquid handlers are used widely by leading pharmaceutical, academic and research institutions worldwide. Labcyte technologies have broad applications in compound management, genomics, proteomics, particle manufacturing, imaging mass spectrometry, live-cell transfer and more. Labcyte is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California with offices in Dublin, Ireland. We have 38 issued U.S. patents, 6 issued European patents, one issued Japanese patent and additional U.S. and international filings.
